Sedona ArizonaSedona is the second most visited site in the state of Arizona after the Grand Canyon.  Sedona’s location, between Phoenix and Flagstaff, Arizona is at the mouth of renowned Oak Creek Canyon and at the center of  Red Rock Country.  It has  breathtaking panoramas.  Sedona, AZ is at 4,500 feet, therefore more mild than Flagstaff at 7,000 feet.  Sedona, Arizona is the gateway to spectacular scenery and outdoor recreation in Oak Creek Canyon.  It is located in the high desert just beneath the rim of the Colorado plateau.   Sedona boasts beautiful mild weather and unspoiled natural landscapes.   Sedona truly does have something for everyone.  The sunsets (and sunrises) are spectacular, but any time of day Sedona, Arizona, is a mystical, magical place .

Sedona, Arizona  is one of the most beautiful places in the United States to watch the sun rise and set with dramatic canyons and pristine landscapes.  Sedona’s city limits include parts of Coconino and Yavapai Counties.  Sedona is Arizona’s most photographed area.   Many painters and sculptors call the Sedona home.  As a matter of fact, one of my favorite things to do in Sedona, AZ is visit its many art galleries.

Sedona’s natural wonders and wildlife sightings will delight you.  Check out nature and wildlife parks, Sedona hikes, sightseeing opportunities like Jeep tours, hot air ballooning, and mountain biking.   Plan on visiting historical landmarks.

Slide Rock Red Rock State Park and recreation areas like  State Park Slide Rock in the heart of Oak Creek Canyon.  This park has  a natural carved  water slide eroded into slick rock surrounded by massive red-rock walls.   The best jeep tours in AZ are in Sedona.  Jeep tours in Sedona are among the most popular activities.
